At Franklin Hospice, we are immensely grateful for the time and effort our volunteers put in to help our patients and their families. Volunteers play an important role in quality end-of-life care for patients dealing with a terminal illness. Please check back as dates may change due to unforeseen circumstances, thank you.

Each volunteer orientation will cover the following:

• Franklin Hospics's goals, services, and philosophy
• Confidentiality, HIPPA, and patient rights
• Family dynamics and coping mechanisms
• Psychological issues surround terminal illness, death, and bereavement
• Emergency procedures including death of a patient
• Supervision guidelines: who and what to report
• Guidance specific to individual responsibilities
